Freelance illustrator, pattern designer and lettering artist based in Paris

Sandrine Monnier likes: the countryside in the city, to hear the birds early in the morning, dancing, midcentury design, polka dots, drawing flowers, eating cakes with her daughter, and making things.
After studying at an art school, she worked in publishing and for the press for 15 years as a graphic designer. After the birth of her daughter, she began to work as an illustrator. Her work is now dedicated to illustration. A fan of typography and vintage textile, she have a collection of fashion magazines and children's books from the 40s to the 60s. She find inspiration in her magazine and book collection but also in nature and during her walks in Paris.

Sandrine Monnier aime : la campagne à la ville, entendre les oiseaux au petit matin, danser, le design des années 50, les motifs à petits pois, dessiner des fleurs, manger des gâteaux avec sa fille, fabriquer des objets.
A la fin de ses études d'art elle travaille pendant 15 ans comme graphiste et maquettiste pour la presse et l'édition.
A la naissance de sa fille, elle se remet à dessiner et commence à travailler comme illustratrice. Elle se consacre maintenant entièrement à l'illustration.
Fan de typographie et de textile vintage, elle possède une collection de magazines de mode et de livres pour enfant des années 40 à 60 . Elle y puise son inspiration mais la trouve aussi dans la nature et ses promenades à Paris.
